Me and my son built this library as a lockdown project with design advice from my partner. We mocked it up in cardboard, built the base in plywood in a day and then spent 2 weeks fiddling with it to get it to look right, and work. Doors are tricky. Loads of fun and I learned a lot building it, namely that my colour choice is not the same as the rest of my family…
Its been an amazing response from the community around here with loads of books donated and lent out. We have even had a donation of fruit 🙂
Not only is it the only street library in the area, its the only one built into a fricking tree! It also has a free seedling tray on the side to help spread the joy of planting.
