I love having a street libary out front, nestled amongst our old 13′ high camellias. It’s definitely welcoming in the street. It’s been up for less than a year with neighbours also adding books. I also love how one of my elderly neighbours wrote a critique on one of the books title page. Maybe I should hire her.
Our library is from the home of a musician and an artist.I also have a background in publishing. The libraries top shelf is for some current adult best sellers,fiction, crime, humour etc. We have a few music biographies which will make you think you never want to meet your idol in person. The bottom shelf is for first readers, kids and teenagers. I wish I had the whole Harry Potter collection of books as I've been asked a few times.
