Quite simply, we believe books should be widely available and shared. The library is uniquely constructed entirely from recycled materials sourced from local building skips, and was installed with help from the community. The books are local donations as well as from our own collection. The photo shows Tony, the builder, in his work pants. He has constructed many bird boxes for the local community too!

The library is located under a shady tree next to a park bench accessible from the shared pathway in Jarman Street. Borrow or deposit a book on your way to or from the beach!
