I love books. My mother taught me to read when I was three and I used to look forward to weekly trips to our small town’s library, where I would use the entire allotment on every family member’s library card and stagger home with a pile of books nearly as big as I was.
In adult life, I started writing my own stories. Today, I’m part of a large and vibrant community of Australian (and worldwide) authors and readers. Giving back to the community in the form of my own Street Library was a natural step in my book-loving journey.
