Newtown Neighbourhood Centre

Located in the heart of Newtown, opposite the train station, you can’t miss our brightly decorated library featuring rainbows, kids’ handprints and the striking Aboriginal flag. You’ll find it outside Newtown Neighbourhood Centre during business hours, Monday to Friday. The library is used daily by passersbys and is often bursting with books for all ages, across all sorts of genres.

The library was gifted to NNC by Inner West Council in 2018. A true collaborative effort, it has been lovingly decorated by various community members, Rainbow Families Playgroup, and staff from Orange Sky Laundry who provide the community with free laundry service every Friday.
