Newtown Street Library

73 Chermside Road, NEWTOWN QLD 4305

In an area with lots of foot traffic and the gorgeous Queen's Park opposite, the Newtown Street Library is easy to access and full of reading treasures. Catering for all reading tastes, it contains adult fiction and nonfiction, fantasy, wellness and cooking, as well as plenty of books for tweens and teens.

The Newtown Street Library was established in November 2024, about 18months after I moved to Ipswich. My previous street library, in Corinda, floated out to sea in the 2022 floods where it is currently meeting the reading needs of the Moreton Bay marine life.
