11-year-old Sophie was inspired to create a street library by her aunt who has a beautiful street library in Mackay. Built by Sophie and Dad and painted by Sophie and Mum to match our house colours, it was launched in January 2025.
The Nyes Tales and Treasures street library includes fiction, non-fiction, magazines and children’s books. The treasures available will change, it might be crafts, crystals, barbie dolls, hair clips or any other little nick nacks.
