Old Kooroongarra Township

2409 Kooroongarra Road, Kooroongarra QLD 4357

Its the only community library in Kooroongarra - on the school bus run, out the front of the old township - where you will see the Cheese Factory, Butchers Shop, Post Office and Managers Quarters established back in 1905. Take a look at our @Oldkooroongarratownship page on Instagram and Facebook

We are from Brisbane and purchased the Old Township
( that was a QLD GOV Experiment in 1905) . The property was sold privately over 18 years ago and was left unkept by the previous owners.
In March 2021 – two Brisbane City women bought the town on a quest to restore it. Along the way we realised what the community has mean to us and we are keen to give back and have the Kooroongarra Township back on the map . It was once a tourist destination. Pictures on a Postcard and information is displayed at the Millmerran Museum. The Cheese factory is the feature on the property.
