The idea for the Pathways Street Library began over a few drinks at a street get together and a conversation about favourite books. Our cul de sac is also a popular walk through area for local residents so it just seemed to fit that this would be the perfect place to put in a street library. The challenge to build it was quickly taken up by Merv and Malcolm with Shirley providing artistic direction for the painting. Everyone in the street has provided encouragement with the building and help to stock and care for the library. We are hoping to build a sense of community while sharing a love of books and reading and encourage everyone to use and enjoy our Library.
Pathways Street Library is in Allambie Place cul de sac in the Pathways Estate Landsborough. There are books for adult and young readers and everyone is welcome.
