As my children have grown, and their interests have changed, we have amassed a large collection of books, especially picture books, that they no longer read. I want them to be read. I created this library (with the help of the Balcatta Men’s Shed) to pass them on.
I live in a six-house cul-de-sac, so was thrilled when Primewest Gwelup agreed to host the library for me. I, and several friends, check on it regularly, to keep it well stocked and clean, and to ensure books that have been there too long are donated.
The library is dedicated to my grandma-in-law Phyllis, and my beloved grandad, Fred.
