The volunteers at the Community Garden thought it would be a great addition to the sustainability ideals of the garden to install a street library for the benefit of the community. When the offer came from our local council for a grant to apply for one we jumped at the chance. We have some talented people who gladly decorated same with a brightly coloured gardening theme which pops out of the surrounding greenery for all to see and use. We hope to include a variety of books also on organics, sustainability & recycling as well as novels and biographies. Our guest of honour, Gai Dudley (herself an avid street librarian) donated several very interesting books.
