Queen Street in Randwick is full of community-minded book lovers. Residents from all walks of life, be they in the public housing estate, privately renting or owner-occupying, nurture and maintain our street library. In just three months it has become a lively destination with high turnover of books. It includes new and best-seller novels, posh art and music books, biographies and childrens’ books. This is a custom-built street library built on a bright yellow street bench made of old wooden church pews.
This is a big library with a high turn-over of books. Every day there are new donations, book returns, and books being taken away. They include new and old novels, art, music and sports books, biographies, childrens’ books from kindergarten to year 12.
