The ‘Revamps’ Street Library on Macleay Island is nestled outside the al fresco area of an Interior Design Studio where people sit, relax & enjoy a tea or coffee. Don’t be surprised if you find the odd one or two design/decorator magazines in this library! The library also incorporates a drawer for a seed/seedling bank for the island gardeners. It is the second to be built by the Renogades Men’s Shed Team here on the island who are doing some great structural & beautification projects. The colourful library for Islander’s use, represents the array of wonderful people & artisans who live on the island & will help reinforce that great sense of community in our little island paradise.
SENSE THE JOY OF SHARING STORIES when borrowing/replenishing books from this library. To embrace this, before the unveiling of this new library island residents will share in a "SNAPSHOP' morning; telling stories of things they have done, places they have been, things they are passionate about. The 'stuff' that BOOKS are made of.
