Hunters Hill Council’s Street Libraries are a joint venture between Council and our wonderful community members whether they be schools, local artists or local groups. Each library is unique and has been lovingly and enthusiastically decorated by a community group or organisation within our Municipality.
The talented children of Riverside Pre-School used symbols that represent campsites, smoke, tracks, rainbows, waterholes and fish to tell the story of the Wallumettagal people who inhabited the area. Wallumettagal means snapper fish in the local indigenous language.
