Our up-cycled street library is a short stroll to the river and packed full of great adults and kids books to enjoy!
When I had my two children my reading took a back seat… but as they got older (now 5 and 7), I had more time to devote to reading. My Mum friends started asking me if they could borrow my books or recommend something to read, as they too were time poor. In 2018, I started a blog and podcast called ‘In Mum’s good books’ recommending and reviewing books – in doing this I managed to meet a bunch of other book lovers in my community. I hope the Riverside Street Library makes it easier for time poor people to share in my love of reading. Thanks also to Clements Mechanical Services for donating the library shell.
