Rosanna Fire Station Community House Library

232 Lower Plenty Rd. Rosanna 3084

There is a bright red box in our front yard of the Rosanna Fire Station Community House on Lower Plenty Road. People are welcome to borrow, swap or donate a book. There is a huge variety of books for children and adults. It is always open for everyone.

It was a dream come true when I met Glenda from Rosanna Rotary Club and expressed that I wished that we could have a mini library in the front yard so that people using the Community House and passers by could utilize it by borrowing or swapping books.
Upon my request, Rosanna Rotary Club took an initiative and established this mini library in 2019. It was built by Eltham Men’s Shed group. Cr. Tom Melican from the Banyule City Council, launched the opening of it. The library is painted red and white by the Rosanna Rotary Club.
I am very thankful to the Rosanna Rotary Club and Eltham Men’s Shed people for their time and support for this project.
It is getting used everyday, especially in this pandemic lock down time.
