The Roselands Readers library started life as part of a pine TV cabinet. It sat broken in the rain for months, until being taken in, pulled apart (after the redundant 2/3rds of the cabinet was binned), reconfigured, and a roof constructed. It was then fully waterproofed inside and out, insect and creepy crawly-proofed so there were no gaps, and finally painted with a sign on the top. One of many Covid lockdown projects undertaken in 2021.
The children love being able to go and choose a new book to read, as do the adults who love to share their past reads.
