Rye Park Little Street Library

Our village has few amenities. I made the library to encourage and support our community. I bought the materials to make it second hand and painted it using paint left over from my front door. Being bright red I then decided to use a Dr Seuss theme to decorate it. I stocked it to begin with by buying some books from the op shop in the nearest town. Once it was in place in the centre of the village, I took some photos and popped them on the village Facebook group. Since then, there has been a large turnover of books. I check it regularly to make sure it’s still water tight and to make sure it is well stocked. It seems to be very popular.
