Sandcastles Library

'You're never too old too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read to a child' - Dr. Seuss

Sandcastles Early Education Centre has built a library proudly painted with artwork by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander former juvenile justice detainees from the organisation, Toys Change Lives. The TCL crew are committed and proud young men who are changing their lives by making a positive contribution to society.
We would like to invite members of the community to come and exchange a book, borrow a book or leave a book.
The written word is a wonderful thing. By building on our capacity for verbal communication, written language allows us to connect with people not only ‘face-to-face’ but also across time and space! We hope our Street Library will help to share and spread our love of learning and reading.
