When visiting Melbourne last year on an educational tour, the Director of Sandon Point Children’s Centre stumbled across her first Street Library in a suburban park. Not knowing what to make of it, she kept on with her travels until she came across another, and another…. Intrigued, she googled Street Library and found out about the wonderful program that promotes literacy and a love of reading within the local community. A few months later, Sandon Point Children’s Centre has their very own Street Library which was lovingly painted by an educator at the centre to reflect her culture and our commitment to reconciliation.
