In 2022, I became a disabled wheelchair user due to spinal cord cancer. This has hampered my efforts to be involved in the community. Having a street library means that I can still participate and feel a part of everything. An added bonus is that there is always something to read!
We relocated to the Mid North Coast recently, and setting up a street library was high on the to do list. I’m very lucky to have an awesome husband, and dedicated team of support workers who helped me fulfil this goal.
We have two libraries side by side. One for adult books, the other contains YA & children’s books.
