Our family were on holiday in Sydney and there was a street library on the corner of the street. We very excitedly borrowed and swapped some of our own paperbacks. We loved checking it each morning and found some great reads. We wanted to bring some of the ‘cool’ back to Perth with us and as a Literacy specialist the idea of spreading literacy via a fun, free and totally cute street library really appealed.
This is a little library, mostly for residents of Woodvale Waters and Olsen Ct, for swapping stories and sharing yarns. When the summer is hot and you need a book for lying by the pool with, or the winter is cold and you need to cosy up with a good book...you don't have to go to far. So let's scatter some books.
