Schoolhouse Thornton Library aims to share the love of books with local surrounding communities. Situated in the gardens of Schoolhouse Thornton cafe and bakehouse. Join us at 3 Back Eildon Road in the beautiful country town of Thornton.

Established in 1870 and reimaged as a cafe and bakehouse in 2020. Schoolhouse Thornton was originally a Primary School, with it’s final school year concluding in 2013.

We are so pleased to bring to life the love of books, which was once shared at this very property. Enjoy one of Australia’s largest book-sharing movement and help us inspire readers.
