We are the Serpentine Jarrahdale Library Friends. We are a fun group of people who assist and raise money to support the Mundijong Public Library in our Shire.
A while ago one of our members organised a raffle and donated all the profits to our Street Libraries project.
We asked the local Men’s Shed to manufacture four cabinets for us and then we placed them in the community and established our Street Libraries.
All of the books in the cabinets have been donated by the community and we have had several book sales to raise funds and establish more Street Libraries.
With the success of the first four Libraries we have added two more and this is only the beginning as we hope to establish more Street Libraries in the future.
