St Lucia English Phone Booth Library was commissioned by Local Councillor James Mackay in 2020. He approached the Centenary Men’s Shed to build the library, which jumped at the chance to be a part of this suburb-shaping project. Taking more than a year to complete, this street library is in fact a full-sized replica of an English phone booth, complete with details such as the domed roof and panels on the door. The St Lucia English Phone Booth Library is well positioned outside a popular cafe and across the road from the local school.
