Our street library was born out of our first covid lockdown in 2020. I had noticed an increase in foot traffic as the local neighbourhood got their daily exercise. I recycled an old tv entertainment unit and my 10 year old daughter chose the colour and helped me paint it. Thanks to an already established Street Library community in Geelong, we were able to fill it with some amazing books and it has become a favorite stop for many locals, whether it be to drop off a favorite book, or on their daily walk with the dog. It has helped connect us to our community.
Our four-storey ('scuse the pun) street library hold a little bit of magic for all ages. Big books, small books, fat books, skinny books....even the occasional toy just to bring a smile to your child's face.
Located at:57 French St, Geelong West, VIC, 3218, Australia
