Surrey Hills Preschool Street Library

18 Verdun Street, Surrey Hills, Vic, Australia

Take a look and swap a book.
Books for everyone!

This quaint little library is host to a range of books for all ages. Located on the fence of Surrey Hills Preschool, it is popular with passers by on the local bush walking track and visitors to the South Surrey Playground.
This library was an idea from a local Preschool parent as an initiative to introduce sustainability practices to our children. The community rallied behind this project and we were fortunate enough to have this beautifully designed and built by Peter, who is the Grandpa of Jim, Max and Oscar. The final touches of paint and decorations were added by the children of the Preschool and they are taking on the responsibility of looking after it.
The children of Surrey Hills Preschool would love for you to come and share in their Street Library.
