Naracoorte’s first street library is a book case constructed by the Men’s Shed, located in a coffee shop, where people gather for chats and coffee. Spare books including novels and kids books from people’s homes and the library fill the shelves. The books are free to borrow or keep, and topped up regularly so there’s always something new. The feel-good nature of offering something for free, while encouraging people to enjoy reading and to visit libraries is our motivation.
Grab a book while you enjoy coffee and cake at Sweet Espresso, home to our in-cafe street library.
