An avid reader all my life I wanted to share my love of books – once I have read a book and enjoyed it, I need to set it free to be read by someone else. Thus the street library came into fruition. A fridge full of fab reads set back at the service road entrance to my property – where people can come and take, swap or drop a book. It’s lovely having a chat with people and finding out about our shared enjoyment of a particular writer. The book library has had a few changes along the way – from a small timber and glass fronted cupboard, to a refrigerator. It’s hard being out in the elements in Qld! With a cheery sign at the street edge, it’s easy to find.
