We are avid readers and often share and exchange books with family and friends. Our philosophy is it doesn’t matter what you read, but that you are reading and learning and challenging yourself and you mind. We want everyone to have the opportunity to read which is why we love the ethos of the Street Library. We are regular user of Street Libraries in our area so thought we should open our own. Being in Melbourne, we thought it only appropriate to paint the library in the colours of our AFL team – the mighty Melbourne Demons. C’arn the Dees!
Our library will have a mix of books - fiction and non-fiction; cooking; music mags and CDs. It is a great location on busy Mason Street, Newport near many cafes, so you can drop by and grab book or magazine and then sit in one of the fabulous cafes for a coffee, breakfast, lunch of afternoon tea!
