On the 3rd of October, for the opening of the Knox Seniors Festival 2022, Bridges Connecting Communities staff, clients, and the public collaborated to create a fantastic portable Street Library at Carrington Park Family Leisure Centre.

The Knox Box – Street Library provides a reason for community members to connect, return and “pay it forward” in the spirit of generosity, caring and good will.

Bridges Connecting Communities would like to thank Knox City Council for providing the generous grant as part of The Victorian Seniors Festival and Nathan at Carrington Park for collaborating on the project as well as ensuring the smooth running of the library.

So, donate a book, borrow a book or swap a book at the Knox Box next time you are
at Carrington Park. The library is operational during opening hours of Carrington Park and is situated near the entrance to the Centre.

Bridges Connecting Communities run a wide range of activities at Carrington Park, including a Woodwork Club and Arts & Crafts Club both who collaborated to create the “Knox Box” library.
