I was recovering from surgery and decided to set myself daily walking goals. In this way, I bumped into my first street library. I soon gained a habit of walking to my local street library after picking up a coffee from my corner store, and then carried on walking to street libraries further afield, and felt well motivated to walk. As it has served me so well in regaining my fitness, I decided to pay it forward and create my own street library.
Located on a well known school route, the library is a perfect place to stop for a browse, offload or share a book, and even meet a new friend. This cute little neighbourhood library stocks a wide diversity of carefully chosen books in non-fiction, history, feminism, memoir, as well as popular fiction (action, thrillers, sci fi), literary fiction, and some YA and kids' books.
Located at:20 Beresford Avenue, Baulkham Hills NSW, Australia
