The little library around the corner

16 Grandview Street, Naremburn

Reading gives us some place to go when we have no place to go!

Our street library is a true collection of Family books from toddlers, school children to mum and Dad.
Business books, novels, kids picture books and children’s books. Our family ages range from 4 to 10 to adults so there should be a book for everyone.

Our whole family built our street library during the Sydney lockdown in July 2021. We decorated our box with a mixture of artwork to inspire the whole family.

We decided to create our street library after doing a Covid clean up. We realised after our last house move that we had a lot of books stored away. Looking through our collection ignited an enthusiasm to start reading some of our books we hadn’t seen for years. We then had the idea that a street library would be a good way for us to keep our reading enthusiasm ongoing by renewing the street library, from time to time, and share this with others in the community.

A quiet time to read, away from devices, is a great way for everyone to expand their imagination and escape!
