After watching a story that featured street libraries on ABC iview, we decided that it would be an awesome way to share our books and to generate a local community focus. We designed the library around plans we found online; adjusting to accommodate magazines/CDs plus children and adults sections. Called Tiwi Tales as a play on words, for both the stories and the tails of all the animals which have been beautifully painted by a local 15 year old school student. We are extending to be a plant exchange and even a local produce swap – Please visit our library, as you don’t know what treasure you might find 🙂
