Tootgarook Kindergarten Sharing Library

24 Barry Street, Tootgarook, 3941, Victoria, Australian

Our aspiration is that this lending library serves as a unifying hub for our community, fostering shared moments of reading and story-sharing. Just as our artwork united the members of our kindergarten, we hope this space brings people together in joy and learning.

The collaborative artwork adorning this lending library was crafted by the 2022 Tootgarook Preschool community, residing and thriving on Boonwurrung/Bunurong Land. Using yellow, red, and black paints, we pay homage to the Kulin nation, the revered custodians of this land.

The front door proudly showcases fingerprints from the Bilbies (3-year-olds), while the handprints of the Wallabies (4-year-olds) and the educators from both groups adorn the space, symbolizing unity across generations. To preserve this meaningful creation, the lending library was carefully sealed and hung by the committee of management.
