We live on a short country road called Translator Road. Its 7 km from the center of the City of Armidale, but only a short 3 km walk South along the walking track from the town boundary. Our road has 13 homes with families and young children. We decided to build and place a street library to provide an ongoing link with others. As we all meet once a year, at xmas, and kids trick or treat at Haloween, we hope that our street library may add to our social fabric and connections. In time, we also hope the library might become a local talking point, sharing books and the joy of reading but maybe also a place for road notices and where extra garden produce might also be shared.
Our library is 1/2 way along our country road. Come visit us, we are only a short walk along the walking track from town.
