Our street library began as a simple idea to connect with our neighbours, but it blossomed into something much more when we met Uncle John and Aunty Liz. Their warmth and wisdom inspired us to create a space that celebrated community and honoured the Indigenous roots of our land. The library quickly became a gathering place where people exchanged books, stories, and smiles, weaving our diverse community closer together and fostering a deeper connection to the land we all share.
Welcome to Montessori Punchbowl’s Street Library, a special place in our community where the love of reading meets creativity and connection. Designed and named in honour of Uncle John and Aunty Liz, this unique library reflects their passion for sharing stories and bringing people together.
Uncle John & Aunty Liz’s Street Library invites everyone to take a book, leave a book, or simply enjoy exploring the diverse selection. You're welcome to leave pre-loved books in good condition, sharing your favourite stories with others. Whether you’re seeking your next adventure or on the lookout for a new favourite, our library has something for all.
By participating, you’re not only fostering a love for reading but also honouring the legacy of Uncle John and Aunty Liz, and strengthening the bonds within our community. Come and be a part of this wonderful tradition!
