The Uniting Westmead Street Library was started during lockdown, when one of our Retirement Living residents from Park Meadows by Uniting offered to build a street library from scratch for our Early Learning Centre. Karl and his wife, Linda then decorated the library, which is now located at the entrance of our Uniting Early Learning Westmead centre. The centre is situated across from Parramatta Park in a wonderful location for imagination and creativity. Many contribute to the library, including residents, parents and children from our early learning centre, staff and the community. The library is always well maintained by Katrina, our Uniting Early Learning Westmead Centre Director.
Uniting Early Learning Westmead families, staff, as well as Uniting Park Meadows residents and the wider community all contribute to the library, so there's always a variety of books to choose from!
