Warrah Street Library

20 Harris Road, Dural, NSW, 2158, Australia

Re-engage your love of reading. The Warrah Street Library is conveniently located next to the Warrah Farm Shop, so there is ample parking for the community and neighbours to drop by to donate a book and look at what great books are available to enjoy.

Street Libraries are small homes for books that give people in the community free access to literature and re-engage in the joy of reading. Street Libraries encourage books to be recycled and shared.

Kevin and Zac are keen readers and have been chosen as the Warrah librarians. Kevin is a resident in one of our Supported Independent Living homes and Zac is a participant in one of the day programs. Both participants have willingly embraced the Street Library project and are looking forward to ensuring it is well-stocked and cleaned weekly.

Programs like the Street Library give our participants opportunities to take ownership and experience greater autonomy. It helps our participants to contribute in meaningful ways within the community and develop a sense of pride from their contribution.

We encourage you to drop past to support our Librarians – take a book and leave a book.
