Warrigal’s Street Library

Warrigal Nursing Home, Hill St. Bundanoon 2578

The library is being unveiled today 21/08/2019 and will be stocked with a variety of books. We are asking all attendees at the opening to bring one book to place in the library. There are benches next to the book case, where you can sit in the sun to choose or read a book. Or you can go inside to the cafe, which is open on a Wednesday and Friday.

Our library is at the entrance to Warrigal Nursing Home in Bundanoon. The stylish bookcase was built by Denis Fletcher of the Bundanoon Men’s Shed and inspired by two employees at the Nursing Home, Edward and Denise, who wanted to provide a free library for the community and commemorate my brother, Norbert Belley who died last year and was an avid reader and visitor to the Home.
The Home hopes to attract more visitors from the community to use the library and then perhaps to interact with residents and visit the volunteer run cafe, which is open on a Wednesday and Friday.
