Woodenbong Street Library

Umingar Street, Woodenbong, NSW, Australia

The Woodenbong library is a spectacular blend of upcycled materials, decorated by a local First Nations artist with stain glass windows. With Woodenbong only ten minutes from the Queensland border, you can visit the library and have your photo taken with the Woodenbong Yowie!

Built by the Kyogle men’s shed using timber and stained glass, the Woodenbong street library is easily accessible by visitors and is truly spectacularly decorated by a local Aboriginal artist. Each side of the library represents elements of Woodenbong from a First Nations perspective. Being one of six we have installed across the Council area, you can take a book, donate a book or borrow a book. It is well stocked by a dedicated local and the books are for adults and children, across many genres.
