Book sharing promotes and encourages a love of reading. The street library makes books available for children to read before and after school and during recess and lunch. They don’t have to borrow the books or worry about bringing them back. They can enjoy them, keep them, share them or return them. Our street library has been a popular addition to our playground and students have a place to go to share books and talk about them.
Yowie Bay Public School Street Library has wonderful books for primary aged children. It has stories and information books for children to take or swap. Books are shared daily through the street library.
