Nestled within the Building that is the Boambee East Community Centre, our library has both Fiction and Non fiction sections. With Gardening, Cooking, Craft books and Quilting magazines galore. Autobiographies in abundance, come along and visit with us.
We have a children's section too, with a nice range of ages catered to.
We house our books in a couple of rather large standard bookshelves and we have some comfy chairs in our sitting/morning tea area for you to comfortably browse our collection.

First 5 Forever, Seniors Morning Tea , Free Wifi, school holiday program, air conditioned.
So not so much a street library as a hidden treasure trove of all manner of books! Also a great place to come in and slouch on a couch, have a great coffee, and read to your heart's content.

This is a great spot to read, swap, exchange or even take books. The idea has appealed to many and we’ve received a lot of positive feedback about it. So if you’re ever at Altona Gate Shopping Centre, head down to the food court and check out the READING TREE near the escalator.
