Hi, my name is Silvana David. I have been a Primary School Teacher for 14 years where I had the opportunity to promote positive attitudes towards books and reading. I am currently completing my Certificate IV in Library Studies and Information, where upon completion I look forward to working in a public library. I love spending weekends with my daughters swapping our books at various street libraries around Melbourne. This prompted me to consider having my own street library since there were only two in our area. A very BIG thanks goes to the Taylors Hill Men’s Shed for taking the time to construct this street library for me. I’m hoping my street library ‘A Timeless Read’ will provide endless opportunities for lots of reading!
