We started in Dandenong but when we moved, we took the street library with us! We enjoyed it so much we wanted to keep it going. Our new location is a bit more remote (not as much foot traffic) as we had in Dandenong, but local kids know it is there, and we promote it on the “Emeral and Surrounds” facebook page. Our books are of course, free, and people can keep them, or return them, or donate other books back if they wish. The goal is to promote reading for children especially.
Avonsleigh (near Emerald) is a beautiful location for pleasant walks. Double up a walk and a visit to our street library.
