Having heard about Street Libraries in the media over a few years we decided to join the ‘movement’ and present one on our front lawn. It is only the second (that we are aware of) in our regional Victorian town and the only one in our part of town. Our family has always enjoyed books and have been part of a book exchange network of family, friends and associates… our Blackwood Library is an extension of that. It is made primarily from recycled blackwood timber and we live on Blackwood Ave – hence the name.
The Blackwood street library (yes made from blackwood) located on Blackwood Ave hosts a range books for all ages ... you will be sure to find something that takes your interest. Blackwood is an opportunity to share the love of books with those who wander by.
