Inspired by a library near Brisbane and a cense of community health we decided to start a street library in our street complementing an already established street herb garden. The venture quickly became a family project with all pitching in to make the library come alive. My family is amazed on how quickly word spread and how many people are actually using it. I wince was told that the printed word was dead. Well this proves that myth busted. The written word is here to stay and we are helping it along.
My library is located under a leafy shaded tree. I have seats to rest on. We Cary a range of books, DVD's and the occasional kids game. Soon to have a community noticeboaed and chalk board so mum can take here time.
