Crest Park Little Library

14 Crest Park Parade, Queanbeyan, NSW, Australia

Biking or taking a walk through Queanbeyan's Bicentennial Park? Take your route via the entrance at Crest Park Parade and pick up a book to enjoy. We have a selection of Australian literature, classics, a few thrillers and young adult and children's novels.

There is nothing better than losing time when reading an exceptional book. The Crest Park Library was started to share that joy with the local community. Inspiration first came via Pinterest and photos of Portland’s Little Libraries that kept popping up on my feed. I tucked it away on my To Do list.

When I came across the story of Street Library Australia on the ABC program Bookish I leapt at the chance to order one of the libraries built by the Men’s Shed in Kuringai. My family are all voracious readers so there is sure to be a steady stream of books to share with the community.

We hope that our neighbours get involved and start contributing too.
