SIA had been very fond of reading books from a very young age and had a good collection of books. From one of her recent travel experience she got an idea of sharing her books/receiving books to read by engaging wider community and thereby sharing the joy of reading. This idea lead her to build a Street Library, her Summer Project 2021.
The Street Library was a DIY project which was carefully handcrafted and hand-painted by her. Its colours (Purple, Green and Blue) are inspired by the colours of Aurora Australis (Southern Lights)
The library is named as CURIOSITY CUBE, as nothing makes a reader more curious than reading a book!
This is a small way to share the joy of books and explore the wonderful world of reading and imagination.
CURIOSITY CUBE is located close to a primary school and a bus stop which attracts all age groups.
