Goodstart Marrickville library

102 Chapel St Marrickville

On your way to the Henson Hotel at Marrickville pass by our street library and get yourself a book. Our library is in a friendly quiet street so take time to browse. Come back another time to donate to us.

IF the saying “a house without books is like a body without a soul” holds weight, a growing community initiative could be just what’s needed to reignite neighbourliness – and reading.

Goodstart Marrickville library- is a free library on fence lines , part of a growing international movement that originated in the United States.

“Goodstart Marrickville library is, essentially, a box of books, planted on the fence in our neighbourhood front yard, accessible from the street.
“Books come and go; no one needs to check them in or out. People can simply reach in and take what interests them; when they are done, they can return them to the Street Library, or pass them on to a friend.
